shutter speed 1&2
Updated: Feb 13
shutter speed is the time it takes for the shutter to open and close.
slow shutter speeds are useful to create blur in a photo's background or subject and when needing to capture more light in a dark photo
fast shutter speeds are useful to capture moving objects that are moving fast and to capture objects moving clearly
to prevent camera shake, using a tri pod is good to keep the camera steady
i think i have a good understanding of shutter speed and i am able to use this knowledge when i want to capture more light when taking photos at night and when i want to take photos of dance

Flicker
principle of design: i used emphasis in this photo by making the background darker so that the sparks stand out
element of art: i used lines by using the line of the finger to direct it to the sparks from the lighter
rules of photography: I used simplifies background to make the hand and the lighter stand out more

Colour Blind
principle of design: i used movement in this photo to create a blur with the image.
element of art: i used colour to add more drama to the photo and draw more attention to the subject
rule of photography: i used dominence by making my subject all one colour to stand out against the black background.

Fetch
principle of design: i used movement in this photo to make it seem as if the dog is truly running past the viewer
element of art: i used lines by using the lines on the floor to direct the viewers eye toward the subject
rule of photography: i used a simplified background to draw attention to the subject

Camouflage
principle of design: i used unity by using the same colours in the photo to make the photo look whole
element of art: i used anagoulous colours to make the photo have the same hue
rule of photography: i used movement into the frame the highlight the person walking and the panning action

Swish
principle of design: i used emphasis in this photo by using red to make the ball and the rim stand out
element of art: i used complimentary colours with the blue sky and the orange/ red ball and rim
rule of photography: i used leading lines by having the line of the building lead to the ball

Joy
principle of design: i used balance by creating a vast amount of space for the sky as much as the subject, making the photo feel more equal
element of art: i used space by leaving a lot of negative space in the top of the photo to add another focus
rule of photography: i used rule of thirds in this photo by keeping the subject in the bottom third of the photo which created a new perspective for the photo

Stepping Off
principle of design: i used movement to add direction to the photo to guide the viewers eye
element of art: i used lines because the shape of the subject leads the eye in the photo out of the frame
rule of photography: i used fill the frame by making sure all the movement of the subject took up as much space as possible
